the oven on my cooker has died, grill and hob are ok so I don't want to replace it at a cost of several hundred ££
Been thinking about one of those microwave/convection oven combos. Does anyone have one and what are your views ? Can anyone recommend a particular brand and/or model ?
Thanks as always

I do. Mine is amazing. Not sure whether its still available but its a Panasonic. Will look it up for you.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Really handy when something small is better cooked in an oven rather than a microwave. often we microwave stuff cos its quicker but than lacks the crispiness! They all usually do a bit of both as well which is clever - though sometimes the manual isn't super clear but once you've cracked it you'll be hooked!0

thanks both you've convinced me, just need to find the "right" one now !

Another vote for Panasonic, had ours for 6 years - not cheap - waiting for it to expire as the new ones have no turntable, just racks like a small oven.0

 Mine is only a few months old and has a ceramic turntable and oven racks.
ETA - that'll be because it's Sharp, not Panasonic, lol.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
This is mine. I bake cakes in it regularly, and the jacket potato setting is the best I've ever used.

had a Panasonic for about 7 years til I broke it and it was me not the oven.
went to sharp (cos of cost and size I wanted) and now had it 4 years and still going strong.
love them so much. they are easier and quick to warm up and clean and use mine everyday.
we are a scattered family so when we are all at home I reckon it gets used as a convec twice a day and a microwave and or grill 3 times a day.
well worth the money:T63 mortgage payments to go.
