Registry problems

Morning all

Not as serious as it sounds, but it is a bit annoying.
Every time I run the registry cleaner as part of the TuneUp Utilities program, I alway get a registry problem that won't go away.

I get an error which states something along the lines of :-
Registry key blah, blah refers to (something else) which is empty

If I click on fix, it appears to fix it but if I run another registry clean, it reappears.
Sorry for the incomplete info, but if I supply the exact message, can someone point me in the right direction for curing this permanently?

Dunno, not tried in safe mode.
I'll post the exact message later on when I get home and see what happens then.

Usually if you can't get rid of something, you can get rid of it by doing the same thing in Safe Mode. Doesn't always work but it'd be the first thing I'd try.

    Here's the exact message :-

The key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\!!9AFB8248-617F-460d-9366-D71CDEDA3179}\TreatAs points to the missing CLSID HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{A9571378-68A1-443d-B082-284F960C6D17}.

Can somebody please translate and tell me what this is for?
