Methods for purchasing a Pre-Paid Card.

Just bought an Orange Prepaid Mastercard, using a "Text Voucher".

One of the other options, is to buy it with a Credit/Debit Card

If you had a Credit/Debit Card, you wouldn't need a Pre-Paid Mastercard Card, would you?

Erm, maybe. I have lots of credit cards and a few pre-paid cards too. The pre-paid ones are from O2, Orange, AA and Neteller. They were all free at the time I got them, are free to top up and free to use for purchases.

I used to use them for CPAs until it became clear that they could be stopped by contacting the card issuer.

Pre-paid cards also useful for services such as Google Play because they're an easy way to limit your exposure. The Orange card is particularly useful because I can earn points with it. I think the AA and Neteller cards also offer points incentives, but they're pretty poor.

The Orange one costs a fiver now.

They were free for a while. I think there's also a fee for a physical O2 pre-paid Visa card now.

My Orange card runs out this month. I checked my account yesterday and a new card number has been added to it. Presumably that's the replacement I should receive soon. :j

I have several Credit Cards and two Prepaid (Kalixa & Cashplus).

They are particularly useful as SnowTiger said for CPA and very handy for certain purchases online. Ahem:o
You may question anything I say. Just be polite, otherwise you go straight on to my Ignore List, which funds a good old fashioned knees-up every Xmas. Cheers;)

If you have used the Orange card, within 8 weeks of its expiry, you will get a free replacement.

If you haven't used it within the 8 weeks, they'll charge you for the replacement.

The balance is zero at the moment. However, I have used the card twice during the past eight weeks, so I'm safe. :)

I was just running down the balance because I might not use it anymore.

I had a few transaction rejected earlier this year: there was a hiccup with a payment via WorldPay and for some reason Microsoft's App Store has rejected it several times.
