Midland bank mortgage

I had a previous mortgage with the then Midland bank,my wife says we were paying protection on it but I can`t remember.
We have moved house 3 times since and searched high and low for any relevent paper work, without any success.
Is there any options where to possibly find any information so I can make a possible PPI claim.
Thanks

1 - did you actually have it? (could it been life assurance your wife is thinking of by any chance?)
2 - if you did have it, how was it mis-sold? (banks only retailed monthly premium MPPI/ASU - so no technical failings on the actual set up)

MPPI would have been a standalone monthly direct debit. So, you can check your bank statements to see if you paid it.

MPPI has the lowest success rate of any type of PPI. It is the one PPI that is generally regarded as worth having. Complaint reasons typically have to be stronger than the wishy reasons you can get away with on loan and credit card PPI.

Back in the days of Midland, life assurance would have been a requirement. Hence why I wonder if its a mix up of product type.

It could also have been buildings insurance (which is still required) or a Mortgage Indemnity Guarantee, Chancel insurance or any one of a variety of other insurances.
