I did, but managed to control myself by focussing on a point just behind DH's left ear...DH welled up tho, and most of the guests did when DS2 made his "FoB" speech, but then laughed when DH made the comment about "you can find anything on the internet nowadays!" in his speech!0 -

:rotfl: That's a good one!
If I start to laugh, I try and turn it into a cough instead! :rotfl:0 -
I can report back now, and say....I didn't cry! :T
I got abit of a wobbly lip when Frank (the guy at the Blacksmiths shop), said that instead of using the room we'd paid for, we could use one of the other rooms which included the Original Marriage Room which has been used since 1754! So much history! When he showed me around and began telling me the stories of the 16 year olds that ran away etc and all the history behind it, I felt like I was going to cry then, but luckily I stopped myself! Then when he said "Before we start, if Dad just gives you a kiss", I thought that would do it, but again I kept it together.
Then the OH went first saying his vows, and you could see his bottom lip wobbling and his eyes filling up, he didn't actually really cry, but he was closeThen when I said mine, I think I was that worried about getting the words wrong that I was concentrating on that and was loud and clear, with NO tears! Afterwards the OH said it was because he looked over my shoulder and my Mam was sitting there crying and that set him off....luckily, I couldn't see anyone's faces! :rotfl:
When it came to the 'lawful wedded husband/wife bit, we both smirked because we were both dying to say 'awful', but I don't know if the registrar would have had a sense of humour or not, because earlier she'd said to me (because I was chewing gum, sounds common I know, but the mint helps me when I'm feeling sick, and I was feeling sick with nerves!), "You will be removing that before the ceremony won't you?". I felt like a naughty school kid! :rotfl:
Then afterwards my Mam was like "Aww bless him (the OH), and I was like "I know, he's worse than me!", and he was like "It's hay fever" and then I said "Those are artificial flowers you know?!). :rotfl:0
