Switch to Gas and payback over time

Hi

I saw Martin Lewis on TV a few months back talking about a scheme which enables landlords to switch to Gas central heating. The ethos was that you don't actually pay anything up-front and instead your tenant pays for this via their Gas / Electricity supplier.

It works out for he tenant as they should see a reduction in their monthly bills.

Does anyone have any info, how would I go about getting an assessment.

Thanks

Sounds like greendeal to me. However, if a property doesn't already have a gas supply, it won't cover the installation of that (pipework from the road, meter, etc) - and that'll be ££££s.

How can adding £5k+ charge (plus presumably interest) onto a tenants energy bills "work out" for the tenant, or allow them to see any reduction in their bills over the short-medium term?

If there is gas central heating installed, then the LL will have to get an annual landlords gas safety certificate that will cost at least £50 (or close to £150 if British Gas are used ).

I think you probably got the wrong end oif the stick on this one.

Are you a LL or T?
