Is it always bad when you get a phonecall to check your claim?

I received a phone call about 3 weeks ago from Black Horse regarding my claim and today i got home to find a letter confirming they are upholding my complaint and i have already sent the acceptance letter off. Phone calls are not always a bad omen at all

There is no 8 week deadline. That is just the point you can refer it to the FOS if you wish. Although that is a much longer queue and a quick referral to them may actually reduce your chances (e.g. less likely to get an autopayout).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
