No parking permit

Hi, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. Last week I visited a friends house to give her some baby clothes and parked outside. What I didn't realise is that there are signs around warning you not to park etc. when I returned to my car I found that I had received a ticket
It says I did not display a parking permit, which is true as I don't have one.
What can I do?

you can start by saying who issued the ticket, and to whom you should make payment to.From the Plain Language Commission:

Llawnroc parking services issued it and payments should be made to them.0

They don't show their company number or registered address on the website which is naughty.
If anyone CBA feel free to report them to company house0 -
\halfway yes I am. So ok, I will.
\dacouch they don't put the address on the ticket either, there is a phone number but it's just a mobile number which seems odd. It says they won't take queries over the phone or in person. Their company no is on the ticket though.0
