0% Balance Transfers and 0% Purchases Question

If I have a credit card and I used it to transfer a balance at 0% for 2 Year but I then also used it for purchases at 0% for 6 months. What do my repayments pay off first?

The earliest transcations? i.e. I will be charged interest on my purchases for the remainder of the balance.

Depends on the card - policies vary. Check the t&cs.

They can sometimes specify the nearest end date will get paid first.

After 6 months your payments will have to go towards the purchase balance first as it will become the highest interest part of the balance.

As both are at 0%, the card company can decide what order they put into the terms. Check the paperwork carefully.

If you are in any doubt, wait until 1 day AFTER the first offer ends, then you know it will go against the offer which has just ended.
