Tuesday 18th June 2013 - What small DFW things will you do today??!

Afternoon all!
DNMS - thanks for starting us off and hope your dd feels better soon
ziggy - *hugs*
La E - hope your decking plans are nowhere near a grand as my m-i-l's last year. It took OH 8 weeks to deck the ENTIRE garden!
bobarella - mmm, pancakes, there's an idea...
nottobadyet - enjoy your safari
MMM - hope things a bit better today
ally - the mind boggles at the job centre. Good luck with the interview!
lpp - yay about the meters
foxgloves - you made me chuckle as always, hope your bites go down!
josie - you snuck in while I was typing. Excellent news on the house (and very sweet of your OH)
As for me, well I did all the stuff on my list yesterday :A but I feel a slightly less productive feeling settling over me today, so here's my list to spur me on
NSD yesterday and today
Check online banking - all weekend stuff has reconciled
Rounded balance down to nearest £1 by putting 25p into savings :rotfl:
Charge phone in work
B/L/D from stores. Have home grown lettuce in my wraps at lunchtime. Dinner tonight is squash pie (remembered to take the pastry out!) with carrots, asparagus and peas (with some home grown mint in them)
Replacement item arrived from Amazon, no sign of original. will test tonight and if it's all good, cancel vodafone dongle
OH actually at home tonight *yay* so pottering round garden together and snuggles in front of a film
Poss a bit of crochet. Finished another snowflake last night, but am running out of wool. Need to text my friend to pick some more up for me in Leeds.
That's it methinks. Just before I go though, a quick gardening question. I have some radishes that I planted in a fairly shady spot and they don't seem to be bulbing. If I replant them in a sunny place, do you think they will bulb or is it too late?
Thanks guys, have a good one

Hi everyone,
Yesterday wasn't as DFW as I'd hoped as we had to take our bunny to the vet, it cost a whopping £55 for a consultation & some critical care food. Really hoping her appetite is back to normal by the time I get home else it'll be another trip & very dangerous for her. Forunately I hadn't paid it off the credit card yet so we're not further into debt.
Thanks for starting us DNMS, hope your DD is ok now.
Ziggy - You are such a sweetie knitting for DNMS's daughter, & so mature for not letting that silly woman from the playground get to you!
NTBY - Please share your safari pics when you get back, have a fantastic time!
Josie - Yay congrats on the house completion!
Today I have/will:-- Making use of free water at work
- Food from stores
- Dinner from meal plan - Veggie omelettes

Hi everyone
Nice to see you NTBY - have a great time on Safari
Oh MMM - hope things are ok at home - sending you lots of positive thoughts.
Congrats Josie - excellent news. Looking forward to seeing some photos.
Big hellos to everyone else
I've just organised a couple of balance transfers:
- £3.5k at 0% for 7 months
- £1k at 6.9% for life of balance
This means I should be able to pay off the remaining £950 on an 18% card. :T Plan is that if I pay it off quickly I can then see if they'll offer me any balance transfer deals for longer/better than the 2 I've done today... Getting there slowly but surely with credit card debt. What a mess.

Well, the savagely bitten ankles felt a bit better after an hour off my feet with icepacks, so I perked up & have made some rhubarb jam. Home grown rhubarb & had sugar & a lemon in stock already.
Meant to say earlier to Bobarella - I do hope your little boy's bumps & bruises are better now after his accident at the weekend. Sounded like a nasty tumble.
Off to cut more lettuce now....think this first batch will bolt soon & I have decided to try flash stir-frying it tonight with garlic, chillies & ginger to go with the Chinese rice. Not sure how it will go, but lettuces are cooked in other cultures, so going to experiment. If it works, it means we can usefully use our lettuce crop as an occasional side-veg & really get our money's worth....not that I paid anything for most of the seeds.......
Right, I'm cracking on.....
