Someone used my address to obtain a mobile phone contract

I recently received a package addressed to an unknown recipient at my address. I opened it to find out who the sender was, and it was from Carphone Warehouse, with an 02 sim inside. I rang both companies to let them know, and they both said they would investigate as fraudulent. Carphone told me to check my credit file, which I did. I noticed on the invoice that the day before the item was dispatched there was a search carried out for identity anti money laundering for my address by O2. I am waiting for o2 to get back to me, but they didn't tell me what implications it could have on my address. There was a local telephone number on the invoice which I assume was given by the person who gave my address for the sim contract. As it was just a sim inside the package, how would this unknown person expect to get hold of this sim as it has come to my address? Would there be any point in the contract? It was taken out as a one month contract.

Well if the person named on the contract is not you, it shouldn't affect your credit file as these are tied to a person not an address.
I'm not sure why AML searches would show up on an invoice.0 -
Sorry, I meant to write that the search was on my credit report file. The date of search was made the day before the date of invoice.0
