I emptied Recycle Bin. Is that definately it?

Being a naturally tidy person, I habitually empty my recycle bin. It now transpires that some photographs which I thought had been successfully saved onto a CD, weren't. The system restore which I carried out didn't bring them back, does anyone know whether anything will?

No definitely not.

However stop using the pc as soon as possible.

Using another pc you can download free file recovery programs that will search for different types of files that are flagged by your File system as deleted but as long as you pc hasnt overwritten them you can recover them.

This works will most media be it hard drive or flash cards (camera cards).

I have sucessfully used these to recover photos a while ago.

Just use another pc and google file recovery.
