HSBC - Taking a while

Hi all,
Advice and experience sought.
I put claims in for 3 loans with HSBC towards the end of March.
They have just written to me to say they are dealing with a lot of claims and as its over 8 weeks they are obliged to refer me to the ombudsman service as I could complain.
Obviously this is something they have to do, has anyone else had any decisions from HSBC recently and what type of timescale did they take to turn round the claim?
I am guessing I just sit and wait a bit longer, if I do want to refer it then I have to do it within 6 months of the letter.

You have 6 months from their full and final response which you haven't had yet. I'd say yes, wait a few more weeks yet.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Digging this up from ages ago, it appears that HSBC contacted me in August, but sent it to my old address (I had updated my address with them), they only realised a couple of weeks back and sent me an offer for just short of £6k which I duly accepted and has since been paid.
Nice little bonus to enter 2014 with!!!0 -
