I want to transfer information/programs etc from my old Dell laptop to my new Dell one. Vista tells me that I can do this easily using an Easy Share Cable. Can anyone tell me a good place to get one of these cables with the installation disk ?

Your laptops are networked via the wireless router in your other thread, so transfer files that way. See http://www.microsoft.com/technet/network/evaluate/vista_fp.mspx, or use 'sneaker net' and a USB pen drive or CD-Rs.
You can't just transfer programs - they have to be installed from CD or the download file.0 -
