Right, we live in the middle of nowhere.
But this address has been here since 1937, the road itself is well signed and we have 2 signs with the house name on (by tomorrow there will be 3, just to be safe)
Ok, package to be delivered last thursday, between 4 and 5.
No package, called them, said no-one was in but two of us were waiting outside watching for the van.
(the road is very quiet, mostly we could sit in the middle of it and be ok, and as its so quiet its easy to hear anything go past, and see it too)
Redeliver friday, between 4 and 5.
OH saw van go past at high speed, went to stand on road to await his return. Flagged him down, 'just delivered it down the road, ok' and he went!
Thankfully nice man where he'd delivered it brought it down to us and we thanked him profusely.
Sadly the thing was wrong so...next delivery for today, between 15.58 and 16.58
Made sure we were both here, stood in yard watching the road..got to 5, called them, 'he tried to deliver @ 16.08 but no-one was in, he left a card in the mailbox.' Looked in mailbox, no card, finally found said card jammed in a window edge vertically at the front of the house.
I was in the yard painting, OH was polishing car, and strangely we didn't hear any vehicles pull up and I wear a watch and can tell the time.
Tomorrow it's being redelivered.
I'm going to take a chair and a book and sit at the edge of the road. ALL DAY!
Last week the driver went to completely the wrong place first time, delivered to wrong place second, didn't appologise, and today I'm guessing he couldn't tell the time. Lots of phonecalls and messing around and time hanging around when I should have been working.
Thankyou for allowing me to vent.
I know 'white van drivers' are in a rush, I know they have to to earn their money and be home. But a sorry and a I'll go get your parcel back would have been good. And I hate fibbing in any form so saying he tried to deliver at the right time today was a giant porkie.
Maybe it serves me right for living in peaceful counrtyside!
We shall see what tomorrow brings:D hopefully a parcel!
Is it just me??

I must admit that I have always found DPD to be a cut above but I guess it depends who the driver is.Je suis sabot...0

I'd talk to the company. Generally DPD get good reviews on here, they need to know if they have a problem driver.0

As I said, it must just be where I live!
The parcel force drivers are brilliant, even the yell driver found us.
The AsDa drivers all call if they can't find us.
We always make sure to put directions and phone numbers on the special notes with delivery addresses.
Hey ho!
If it happens again tomorrow I'll let them know, although he definitely knows where we live, as OH stopped him and told him.2013 NSD 100. CC2014CC- £31.50/£1352014 NSD 86 so far - May 20/212014 G/C spend £741.55 so far May £107.99/£91Debt Free - 30.05.13 Emergency tin - £1000June 23 - 9NSD0 -
clearly he had to have arrived to jam the card in the window, your at fault for that one0

True, he had been here, but I was stood painting 20 feet from where the card had been stuffed between 4 and 5. Unless he was a master of disguise using silent running mode he wasn't there when he said he was! And the card had no time on it, 4.08 was when the office said he'd tried to deliver.
Personally if I was a delivery driver I'm sure I'd use a window as a letter box:D Maybe walking a few more steps he'd have found what I like to call 'a door':P
Tues ; It was delivered! Sat in chair in yard..whoosh DPD van straight past, so I went to stand on road. He stopped and said he just phoned my OH. Different driver today, very friendly and helpful:D
Got another delivery thurs! Hope its the same driver!!2013 NSD 100. CC2014CC- £31.50/£1352014 NSD 86 so far - May 20/212014 G/C spend £741.55 so far May £107.99/£91Debt Free - 30.05.13 Emergency tin - £1000June 23 - 9NSD0
