BA Executive Club question from newbie

I joined BA Executive Club a short time ago I have recently just returned from a holiday booked through a travel agent that included 2 flights on BA.
I've only just remembered I had joined the BA membership, am I able to claim points against those flight even though it was through a travel agent or do you only get points if you book a flight yourself through BA.com?
I've had a look on their site but could not see anything that answered my question. Surely I as I paid for the flights I should be able to get the points for them even if I never booked them directly? Not sure how I get ticket number also as I can't see it on any paperwork I got sent from the travel agent???

You should be able to claim those points through the EC section on BA's website. You earn Avios and Tier Points on any paid-for ticket, irrespective of how the booking was made.
Have you still got your boarding passes? These should show the ticket no. / booking ref (a six-digit alphanumeric code) needed to submit the claim.0 -
If you're having problems doing it online they can also take care of it for you over the phone.0

Yes, you will get your points. The best way to do it is to call them - 0844 493 0747 - they have always been really helpful when I have contacted them. Just have your reference number to hand and of course your Executive numbers and they should take care of it for you.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Why are you recommending a premium rate number?
This is a money saving, not wasting, website!Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
This is what you want. If the link doesn't work - log on to your exec account, then /manage my account
then /claim missing avios

...or even better, richardw could do it for them instead of sniping...The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

That's the way to do it. You do get a freephone number as a Silver or Gold member which is answered fairly quickly but at the entry level I wouldn't be wasting the time and money calling BAEC.0
