Corporate Credit Cards

Hi,

I currently have a corporate credit card which I do not use, as I use my own personal credit card for work related purchases instead. Will having this corporate credit card and not using it effect my credit rating?

Kind Regards

Depends whether it is actually showing on your report, or whether it actually held by the company.

But even if on your report, one unused card is unlikely to have an impact (though any credit limit may count against you when applying for new credit).

Is your company happy with you using your own card instead of the one they provide?

Thanks for the replies. The card is registered to me and I get a monthly statement via email, although I do not deal with the repayments when I do use it, so does this mean it will be on my report or not? Do I need to run a credit report to find out or is there any way of knowing?

With regards to using my own card the company is fine with it. There are certain expenses I have to use the corporate card for eg. Hotels/flights, but as these aren't too often I can go a couple of months without using my corporate card.

I doubt it is on your report, but have a look on the CRAs to be sure. Or ask your HR dept.

So, in your first post you say that you don't use the card and now it is every few months?
