passport getting a bit tacky

Hi guys just a quick one, used to use my passport as id when i went out so on the edges of the passport bit its a little peeling but only a slight, how do you know if your passport is in fit shape as dont want to get there and it not be able to go away on holiday, also it does not run out till 2015 or 2016 so still couple of years before need a new one.

Not if its damaged you don't - and if the laminate is lifted at all - its damaged0 -

The really important page(s) is the one with all your details on, photos etc and the biometric page if you have one. Any damage to these pages and you'll potentially have problems.
My passport is battered as hell and has been for years but not actual damage to the main page (its too old for biometrics) and never had any problems.0
