Camping Out in Cornwall

Hello,
My cashstrapped partner and I are planning on taking a 3 day trip to Cornwall sometime around next month mainly to the coastal areas and because I want to see Eden Project so probably would be in the southern coastal areas.
We were thinking of camping out to avoid the high rents but have not had any experience camping in Britain.
Any advice in regards to camping in that area?
