House listed on RM after offer accepted - what can we do?

Hi all,
I'm looking for some advice. We had an offer accepted on a property last month before it had gone on to the market. When we viewed the EA still hadn't been to take photos or measure up and our offer was accepted the next day. That being the case, we didn't need to worry about making our offer conditional on the property being taken off the market as it was never on the market.
I've seen some house appear on RM that are SSTC from the minute they appear so I did check RM and the EA's website for about a week afterwards to check if it went up and found nothing. This weekend I found out that it was on the EA's website and RM (as SSTC) and through PropertyBee I see that it went up just over a week after our offer was accepted. am I right to be put out by this and can I/should I ask the EA to remove it? We're currently at the final stages of the legals and hoping to exchange in the next week or so.
Would be grateful for your thoughts. Thanks :-)

Just concentrate on getting the exchange done, then it is of no consequence.0

But until exchange does happen hasn't this put us at risk of being gazumped?FTB Tracker

I see SSTC listings go up all the time. A lot of it seems to be listed with a blurb along the lines of "we've sold this one, but give us a call as we have many similar properties waiting for you!" - standard marketing trick to drum up general business for the agent.
As long as the sale is progressing, I wouldn't be that concerned.0 -
These listings are mainly to do with advertising the agent, they love to have houses listed as SSTC or sold as it appears they are busy and selling at it encourages vendors to go with their agency.
I have a house I bought to let and completed in March that is still on Rightmove and properties that I let and have agreed tenants are still listed as To Let.
Agents want to get calls and if the house is SSTC then they offer another property similar!0 -
Agree with the other responses. The house I completed on at the end of January is still SSTC on RM. Good advertising for the agent. If you compare the hits on a RM search, SSTC and not SSTC you will see that, in this area at least, there listings are about 50/50.
Nothing to worry about unless the vendor is still conducting viewings! It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
