Do I need to chase British Gas for overpayment on final bill or will they do it auto?

We've recived our final bill which_ is somthing like £40 in credit...wondering if we need to ring them and go through all the messing about of getting it credited back to us or do they just generally send a cheque (or however they do it) since they do know they owe us this money?
People don't know what they want until you show them.
