Barclaycard turned down my PPI claim too. They claimed there was no policy and when it was proved there was PPI, they said I had positively selected the product and that was their final offer. I have requested an SAR repeatedly.

I wrote to the FOS and after 18 months, Barclays have not sent any paperwork to them. So it has been sent to a team who deals with claims where there is no business file. My agent I spoke to said most of these cases were Barclays but that is only anecdotal.

Thanks that has been helpful glad to know we are not the only ones where they have been very unhelpful. Hope the FOS sort it out and you get your money back! Xx

    Again more diversionary tactics followed.

A lot of what they did wasn't diversionary, he just didn't understand the complaints process. They don't have to provide agreements for closed accounts and they do have a defined complaints procedure. For SARs, he should have complained ot the ICO that they weren't being fuflfilled [Information Comissioners Office] and they would have forced them to comply.
If you haven't already read through this

there is a link to credit card complaining on the same page, although it's pretty much the same.

You can try complaining again since it sounds as if he didn't actually complain properly. Fill out the forms in the link above and send them with any supporting evidence, statements in the case of credit cards with PPI payments highlighted [ a representative sample will do], any agreements etc, and a good set of complaint reasons - good work benefits, savings, etc any that apply]

The same goes for the loans, complain about each individually, or together on the same form if they were consecutive consolidation loans.

Strange question but which address(es) did you write to? It sounds just a bit to me like all your letters kept going to the wrong department(s).
