Depends whether you are paying for it through a proper contractor or is an electrician doing it in his own time (Not that I would suggest that this is done, all taxes VAT to be paid).
To fit 8 sockets I would think a contractor would charge about £100-120 and an electrician doing it in his own time about £500 -
Work on the basis of £20 + vat per socket. Electricians, since the new laws came into force, very rarely work on a cash basis as they have to issue a certificate at the end of the job now to comply with the law.0

wow that's a lot more than I thought0

it would depend on were the sockets are and how easy it is to connect to existing wiring. Are they all in one room etc.
If you can find a spark to do it for 20 quid a point snatch his hand off.
I wouldnt entertain turning up for a penny less than 35 a point .
I know you are providing the sockets but they are only about £1.20 each anyway .0 -
You also need to think about wiring routes. It can take a considerable amount of time if you have to move furniture, lift floorboards and drill through rafters. I paid £60 for 4 wall lights and 2 switches and I had run the cables myself as well as doing the chasing out. The electrician worked solid for nearly 2 hours and charged £30/hr.0
