Cutting a long story short, we sadly had a leaking radiator pipe, insurers appointed a company to take out the chipboard floor etc. They have damaged our front door in the process, not severely I hastened to add, but its a upvc door which cannot be repaired (as far as I'm aware) they tried to take our sofas out (which come apart - I even left out a socket set etc) also they have scratched in numerous places whilst taking all the flooring out, and damaged a strip which goes across the bottom. It was a very dusty job, stihl saw etc cutting up the floor, and where they've tried to push the strip back on has left 'clean patches' I have left it as it is - taken lots of pics - but was wondering if the insurance co is obliged to replace it? Really hacked off - they rushed the job hence the damage.

Whoever did this work will be responsible for any damage they caused. So collect the evidence and put it in writing to them. If they don't pay you, issue a small claims court case against them. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
