thomas cook travellers cheques

have just bought thomas cook travellers cheques today, signed half of them in shop and brought rest home for my partner to sign, assistants were not happy and said that they would not be accepted in the usa as I had paid for them but another person was signing some of them, can anyone advise

They will be usable by the person who has signed them.

I really don't see how anyone in the US (at shop floor/bank counter level) can tell who bought the TCs.

Totally agree, obviously they have to be signed again anyway and the person who signed them the first time will have to sign again. I split my travellers chqs with my hubby when we went to Florida and we had no problems, its payment at the end of the day.

Don't know why you went their in the first place. There are well known(or should be) for misleading their customers into getting the wrong currency.

They were offering a good rate at the weekend, but I don't think we'll be using them again......stick to the bank in future.
