Associate Information on my Credit File.

I have paid £2 for my credit report and it came through Friday. The only thing that concerns me is I have associate information on my report for two people with whom I have lived with. One is a flatmate and the other is an ex of mine.

How can I break the link of these two people on my credit file? I know that the friend who I have lived with and had a joint account with will have a good credit history but the ex I am not sure about.

Hi. This also happened to me in the past. I requested a NOTICE OF DISASSOCIATION form from the bureau and they removed the other party from my file.

Will take a few weeks but fairly straight-forward.

You need to file a 'notice of disassociation' with all 3 CRAs.

However, first things first...do you still share joint accounts with these people? If so, or if you don't know for sure, you need to speak with the lenders first. Just going ahead with the notices without checking is tantamount to fraud!

Your credit report should identify who created the association.

Both joint accounts are now closed and have been for a few years now.
