Just been into my local Mr T. 4 x packs of dishwasher tablets lighter. No rim blocks but some vanish and oven cleaner available.

In my local all items scanned at the glitchy price on the handheld scanners, but changed to full price at the checkout

This does not look like a glitch to me as all the products are properly marked down on the shelf with yellow price tags showing original price and new price and stating much less than half price offers.
I think is more to do with stock clearance and when they have gone thats it as no offer end date to be seen next to the lower prices.

I still think this is a glitch; see below.

Harpic items should be: WAS £2 --> NOW £1.80 (Save 20p)

Vanish items should be: WAS £4.60 --> NOW £3 (Save £1.60)

Dettol items should be: WAS £3 --> NOW £2 (Save £1)

Mr Muscle item should be: WAS £4 --> NOW £3 (Save £1)

Limelite items should be: WAS £2 --> NOW £1.50 (Save 50p)

Fairy item should be: WAS £6 --> NOW £4 (Save £2)


In all above cases, the amount saved has been incorrectly inputted as the actual sale price of the item. The 'better than half price' SEL/online banner has been automatically added as their system recognises the glitched price and thinks that these items are in a genuine 'better than half price sale.


Also, when Tesco has clearance offers they usually have 'price cut' stickers with 25% off to start with, followed by 50% off and then 75%.

The Harpic (as an example) has gone from £2 to £0.20; a total of 90% off. :eek:

Also, if you look at mySupermarket, the lowest price this item has ever been was £1.35 and that was about 9 months ago.

Just been to another tesco store and all scanned at the proper offer! (Eg 20p off!) had a basket full so made a quick excuse that i left my purse in the car and did a swift exit!! How embarassing!
