Final yr student loan

It's more than 1700.. The minimum is still £3000ish I think. It's less than previous years but not much less.0

If it's (access to learning fund thing) means assessed I probably wouldn't be eligible because my parents both work - not sure what that has to do with my personal circumstances, but anyway . . .
My last year is as long as the 3rd/4th years are / were. I have previously got an allowance for the extra time etc, but even though this upcoming year is longer and involves me doing an overseas elective, they haven't seemed to take that into account (at least not when my mother was talking to them on the phone, going to have another go at the weekend).0 -
i'm getting about 3100 for next year which is my final year. I think that's only a few £100 less than normal. £1700 must be wrong.. Unless you're living at home in which case i think you would get less but i don't know how much.2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -

Nope I'm renting during college terms. Is some of that means tested or is that just the basic 'maintenance loan?'0 -

So you're saying that you got a £6,800 loan for this past year? Are you sure? Are they taking their overpayment back? Is this why the amount's so low?0 -
You should get most of it, not 1/4! I would check the figures with them and appeal as it seems very wrong to me.0

The Access to Learning Funds are means tested, but only on YOUR income, it does not take your parents' income into consideration.0

there's not been any change to the amount i will receive for next year, which will be my final yearknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Usually your final year is reduced as its assumed you shall not need any money for the holiday period following your graduation. Mine was reduced on this basis although I'm not sure if this is the same with the new top up fees.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0

I assume from this paragraph that you are a final year medical student. In that case, your loan will be lower than expected (about 50%) as it is affected by your NHS bursary and having your fees paid.
