We went to Lanzarote last April and it was freezing. Black skies, blowing a gale...brightened up on the last day though!

we went first week in may this year and we have wall to wall sunshine and it was warm - but quite windy. only needed to wear my cardigan once in the evening. You will never be able to predict the weather - just go with the flow and enjoy.

Islands like Tenerife have very different weather according to where you are on the island. In the north it can be rainy and cloudy quite often and the SE of the island it can be very windy. Maybe Lanzarote has similar differences.
