hiya lisa/alfie :j we had one fat pigeon that used to sit on the bird feeders :eek: flapping his wings to balance & used to manage to get loads of seed :eek:
couple of weeks ago I ordered the 'cages'
Thanks for the link - that feeder looks great. We have the standard feeders without the cage around them, and our resident hooligan (as below) always manages to break into it. We're always mending it - 'bout time to buy a new one and yours looks ideal.0 -
Good Morning,
Thanks FF.
Just popping in to wish everyone a lucky few days. Probab;y manage to pop in on Monday night when I should have a proper internet.
I am showered, had breakfast , made the picnic and finished the packing so just need DH to get organised now. Will be leaving about 9.30 I think. Having a cuppa and doing a few final comps. Kids didn't drink any Irn Bru yesterday so can't try that one again.
Well done on getting your tea ILC.
Will look out for you wingo

I always make me family smile with 'strange sayings' that I use. Classic down the years is i say 'going off on a tandem' ....... maybe tangent is what I mean! Gawd knows, but I know what I'm going on about
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
That reminds me of my ex-mother-in-law. She was always getting words wrong. I particularly remember her saying one day, when asked if she liked sherry, she answered: 'Yes, I like dry sherry. I do like a nice armadillo sherry...'"0 -
you're welcome lisa :j must say they work great,
has stopped the pigeons, magpies, squirrels etc
all getting to the seed & the fat ball cage is brilliant :j
lol @ the squirrel pic:D had a few 'hooligan' ones as well :eek::D
they've got their own 'nut house' now where we put the nuts & bits for them but once one of them nicked a fat ball out the bucket I carry with all the food stuff in when I was topping up :eek:
cheeky bu**er :eek::rotfl::rotfl: :eek:
the parrots are gorgeous where you are :j
have a great time sheils :j:j:jplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Morning everyone :wave:
Lovely pics everyone :T:T:T
Glad it's nice where you are fire**fly :j :A
It isn't here. Raining through the night and more to come judging by the black clouds
sheils - have a great time :j
wingo - hope you think of something good to do today :j
Loved the squirrel story fire**fly :j
One of our nut feeders disappeared one day and because we have them quite high in the trees we thought it must have got caught on the combine harvester so we followed it's route but no sign of the feeder.
DH went to look among the trees later and there it was, broken and empty, lying at the bottom of a tree where we know Sammy squirrel used to go
We name all our regular visitors
I wouldn't mind, but there is always food put down for the squirrels and the bigger birds but the greedy little bu**er wanted them all for himself :rotfl:0 -
Morning!!!
Wonderful posts/pics as always!! Always brings a smile to me face!
Not sure what weather is going at the mo - bit of sun, touch of breeze but also clouds approaching - got a load of washing to hang out ....... may risk it
Bit of a bummer this morn and last night. Me windows live mail gave up the ghost
Kept saying I was offline (but wasn't) but when I ticked the box to say I wanted to work online, ....... no response, so no emails
Have fired up me old lappy (works on a wing and a prayer!) and emails are downloading via outlook.
Me thinks I may have to leave the safe confines of the Inn and travel over to techie dept for advice :eek::eek:
They are a lovely clever bunch of peeps there and have greatly helped my ds in the past, for which we were most grateful.
However, I am so stupid with lack of knowledge re computers that I am a tad scared that I won't understand any of it :eek::eek::eek:
