Damn! My washer isn't coming until Tuesday now :( The one hour I couldn't wait in for it to be delivered they called to say it was coming then. :( I've just had to hand wash a load of stuff as DD going to Center Parcs Monday and needs clothes washing!
Do you ever get them days when it's one step forward and two steps back! :o

Morning all! Sh***e, my internet is all over the place!! Did thank everyone but had to go back and do it again cos me thanks weren't showing :o

Wingo - I have an old wooden washboard available if you need it :D Was me mums, can recall her using it years back and kept it for emergencies! :D :rotfl: (Or good for playing a tune on with thimbles - or am i really showing my age now!) :rotfl::rotfl:

God bless your mum, always stay positive love, that's what I did, and me family. Sending hugs n love to you and yours and particularly your lovely mum. xxxxxxxx

To hot for me here again :o Managed to get out early to get provisions for the weekend cos apparently it's going to be a scorcher!! Also managed a wee bit of gardening but to clammy out there now.

Well done all with wins :T

Puddy not to good yesterday, unusually very lethargic, didn't even show interest in cat nip treats :o

However, as yesterday became slightly cooler, she perked up and this morning is back to her old self - good appetite, lapping water and demolished treats.

Think she just needed a ........ good clear out - mission accomplished!!! :D:D:rotfl: :o

Have a good day all - hugs n best wishes xxxxxx

Afternoon all, hope you are all well. I have a quick question if it's okay, now that the dailies are spread over lots of magazines, what do you do about thanking the OP? Also, in the email it says to mention the win on their Facebook page, but again it doesn't tell me whose page to go to? Any suggestions? I'm in a bit of a fluster as a decent win has eluded me for so long :)

hi bs, I still thank the op on the post for the comp on the thread for them eg:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4601135

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4601135

    then when I win
I search the thread for the op so know who it is who's posted the actual comp :)

you don't have to mention the win on their facebook,
it tells you in your wem just to email back with a your winners quote.

Thanks for that, I think it must have been cornishpasty1 who posted it. I've sent the email, I would have liked to thank them on their FB wall, but when they don't tell you which mag it was that's difficult :)

Sorry wingo, I don't want to rub salt in, but it's a washing machine :oruns out quickly..........

Thanks wingo, you were the first person who came to mind when I got the email, I felt really awful. We could do with some of your heat, it's really cold here, the heating even kicked in this morning.

Bummer, quite upset!! I have that notice in me window for no cold callers printed off from this site - doorbell rang. I always answer the door through the day because it could be post for me, or lovely neighbours, we all look out for each other.

However it was 2 'not very nice lads' :( Selling stuff. I showed them the notice and I said I was a widow and very politely told them I do not buy on the doorstep.

They replied in no uncertain terms telling me they were orphans!!!! Out of work!!! Apparently I was denying them a living, I was cruel and so it went on. And much worse, re language etc. And they actually had the cheek to say ...... ', what the hell, a widow, get a grip in the real world' :( And they didn't stop there.

How can people be so cruel! :( In tears at the mo.

Sorry loves, bit fed up after this. Be ok in a wee while. xxxxx

Just been round to neighbour, big hug of a bloke, but of course they didn't hassle with him ...... seems their targets are oldie women. Gutted! xxxxxx

That's dreadful Alfie, hope you're feeling better soon. I got to my Dad's a while ago and he'd been conned out of nearly £70 for a few dusters and some washing up sponges. He's disabled and leaves his front door on the latch and the guy had walked straight in, Dad said he felt really intimidated.

You should still call the Police and let them know that they're in the area Alfie, might stop someone else getting the same treatment.
