AnnualCreditReport spotless credit?

Options
Hi.

I have recently been offered a good job with a company that does background and basic credit checks. I wanted to check my credit report to see if anything in there could stop me from getting the job.

I went on annualcreditreport.co.uk, filled my details in and they told me my credit is flawless. Now as much as I would have liked that to be true, I know that it is NOT, especially as I have recently tried to get a capital one card and got refused immediately.

I am working part time and in desperate need of full time work to make ends meet, so I wanted to see if there's anything untoward in my report to let my prospective bosses know before they see it and I am unsure if I have anything in previous addresses that I am unaware of! Does anyone have any idea why my credit report might show up as perfect? Thanks in advance.

p.s I tried Equifax and Experian but for some reason they don't accept my Halifax visa debit card!! :/

See above, Equifax have issues accepting my debit card so I can't view my file! Apparently it's legit. Got it off moneysupermarket. Never heard of noodle before so might check that out thanks :)

Just tried Noodle and they said they couldn't immediately verify me so they didn't show me my report. I am not currently on the electoral roll on this address as I moved 6 months ago (but have already sent them the registration so should be on it next month) so unsure if that could be why.

There's no such thing as a flawless credit history as different lenders want different things from their borrowers.

Being declined for a CapitalOne card doesn't mean you have a bad creditor history and another lender might readily accept you!

You should contact Equifax, Experian and Noddle about the problems you're having with signing up, as you need to check all three to get a complete picture.
