Lloyds TSB credit card and account

I have a Lloyds TSB credit card that I have a rate of 19.9% on and a credit limit just raised to £1800
I bank with Lloyds TSB and have done for many years, however I am thinking if changing my account.
Will it effect my credit card (ie internal rating) if I do so? For someone with my credit history it's a good rate and I am working hard to rectify this. I currently have one stupid next default and that is it but still a poor credit rating.
I know this may be a really basic question but tbh if I knew about money, I'd not be in my 30s and still suffering!!

Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

As far as I am aware, the products are treated separately so closing your current account shouldn't effect your credit card - I have just been accepted for a Lloyds card and I've never had a bank account with them.
Alternatively, if you want, you could just open a new bank account and leave your Lloyds one open as well. It's sometimes handy to have more than one current account. I lost my wallet last year and it had my bank card in it. It took a week to get a new card through but because I still had another account open (with the card safely at home) I was able to transfer money online and use the other account.0
