Hot water but no heating

We have a Jaguar 28 boiler.
Its been working fine for 8 years.
We have added 1 radiator since when hot water is working but the heating is not coming one.
Tried resetting it and checking for air but still no joy.
Pressure is 1.1
Any pointers would be helpful.

Who installed the new radiator and how was it added to the system?
If it hasn't worked since it was installed, you should call back the person/company who installed it.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

It was installed by the builder doing an extension on Friday. Hot water has been working fine, but the boiler isnt turning the heating on.
There was an existing radiator close by. The pipes were extended about 3 feet and a replacement radiator added.
The builder is blaming the boiler, but to me its too coincidental."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -
Do you have a hot water tank or is your hot water provided directly by the boiler?
Do any of the radiators closest to the boiler get warm/hot?If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

its a combi boiler.
the radiator closest to the boiler is the replacement radiator.
On friday, he closed all the radiators and drained the system down. Added the replacement radiator then repressurised to 1.5. He also added some earthing to the boiler.
Since then no heating but hot water is fine.
It was last day of the job and the builder is asking for final payment, but Im not happy about it. He is insisting its a boiler fault and nothing to do with his work. Im not so sure.
thank you for your help everyone

air lock somewhere? try bleeding radiators. Our piping is old and the pipes to our extension are quite small. when ever we have work done on it (we have been renovating last 2 years) we get air locks.
Our boiler hates it and goes into fault mode. Takes a couple of weeks to settle in this house.
I wouldn't be happy either. Our old plumber/builder was useless in regards to the problem. We had to employ a new plumber. he said it was air locks..worst case thing would be if the system was dirty, draining the system could cause bits to gather inside the pipe and get stuck in a bend somewhere.
I recommend running hot water and heating program and keep bleeding the rads, checking the boiler for fault codes and re setting if it does. But boiler won't run if everything is not circulating as it should.
I feel for you. It's a pain in the butt0 -
When the programmer/thermostat is calling for heat, touch the flow pipe on the boiler. Does is start to get hot?If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

are you sure he hasn't shut off the heating isolation valves under the boiler ?
are the rad valves back open ? if you have trv's the pins could be stuck by him closing them right offI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Thanks everyone.
Problem solved!
Thermostat was turned off (not by me I must add). Really simple! I followed the advice from earlier posts on here
The builder/plumber was messing around for 1 hour with the manual and the gas safe engineer he called said, it must be the boiler and just call out would be £60."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -
