I think it's so hit and miss buying these eggs. I wanted Buff Orpingtons when I wanted to try hatching myself so I got them from a place that only sold that type to make sure I didn't get anything else by mistake.
Silkies are lovely, I wonder what you've got then? Do you hatch yours under a broody hen or in an incubator?
we use a hen have 2 incubators but stopped using them as the hens are a lot less work the hen on the chicks is a buff orpington they are so nice hens friendly and great brooders we have 4 at the moment and have 3 chicks from a neighbors eggs with the hope to get a cockeral to put with the hens. we have white black and buff silkies and we love them but wanted some splash ones but never mind we will have a suprise:D0 -

I have recently re homed the BO cockerel that I hatched. I loved him to bits but he was getting really noisy and I was worried that the neighbours would get peed off. So he's gone to live on a lovely farm near Wigan. The lady there had lost nearly her entire flock to a fox
Anyway, in the last 2 weeks Ive had 4 neighbours stop me and ask me where he is because they're missing the sound of him crowing:o

They were handing out bits of cake, but you actually had to BUY something to get the free gift!!! they didn't say that on Facebook first thing, just said they were giving away 100 plants. Bit annoyed, wouldn't have rushed if I had known. Don't know why I bothered anyway, thye must have opened before 10 because it was already crammed when I got there at 10!!!!
what a shame.. console yourself with a cuppa and a muller

Finally got to sit down, my poor legs are killing me
Told the nursery where I'd been this morning and they thought I was bonkers :rotfl: I've worked out I've probably walked about 6 miles today already
Was thinking (I know bad habit!) while I was pounding the pavement is it possible with the mullers there's a 'reverse trigger'?
We keep looking for the common denominator between the fully glitched shops, so is it possible it's the other way round and the other shops that have 6 comparing at 50p all have something that makes the APG pick up 6?
Was just a thought, I really should stop doing it as it makes my head hurt :rotfl:Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55
