My sister got a new smart carpet recently which looks plain but has got bits of flecks in it which I think will be easier to live with than a completely plain one which shows all the bits ;)

Know what you mean about bits my living room carpet think colour is Cinnamon and it shows all bits so I will take on board one with flecks in thank you. :T

The email they sent me stated;

Welcome to Shop Small – the big celebration of small businesses.
uk_gms_shopsmall_spendstim_bb_14062013_1x1.gif
This July, spend £10 or more and get a £5 statement credit once per location at up to 10 different shops, cafes, restaurants – or any other participating small businesses in your area.

So whether you're treating someone to flowers, having dinner at the local pizzeria or simply picking up some essentials, use your Card to pay in-store and receive up to £50 back in statement credits. What better reason to Shop Small?

with terms and conditions of;

Terms and Conditions
1. When you make a transaction of £10 or more at a participating merchant from 1 – 31 July 2013, you will receive a £5 statement credit. You can receive one statement credit per merchant at up to 10 different locations, thereby receiving up to a maximum of £50 in statement credits. Participating merchants can be found at amex.co.uk/shopsmallmap.

2. To be eligible for the £5 statement credit, you must register your American Express Card at amex.co.uk/shopsmall and use your registered Card for full payment. Transactions must be made in-store in order to receive the statement credit. Online transactions are excluded from this offer.

3. This offer is open to existing American Express Cardmembers with a UK issued Credit or Charge Card. American Express Corporate Cards and Prepaid Cards do not qualify for this offer.

4. Statement credits are generally issued within three to five business days after your qualifying purchase, but may take up to eight weeks to be applied to your account.

5. The £5 statement credits are not eligible for the rewards associated with your account, for example Membership Rewards, Cashback or Avios. This means if you spend £10 the rewards will be applied to the net transaction amount of £5.

6. If your Card is lost or stolen, American Express will automatically update your replacement Card with any campaigns that you have registered for.

Thanks for this. My card number was not recognised last time, its a sainsbobs nectar card but I've recently changed it to the sainsbobs nectar card with no fee and this time it seems to have worked, anyway I've registered.

Do you get an email with detailed instructions on how this works?

I've been on the link to see what places are local on my list - I suppose ideally you need to spend exactly £10. On my dads postcode it says his local estate shopping centre which is just a newsagents, pharmacist, Peacocks and a co- op.
On my postcode it shows as the very posh local butchers which my eldest son used to work at - just have to be brave and say I just want to spend £10 on meat :)

My local does (it's an extra), it has them near the checkouts along with sewing needles, thread and those rolly things you run over clothes to get rid of pet hair.
Dunno if it'll do the kind you want though, I think it sells thick lengths in just white and a mixed pack of white, black and grey
I think it was blue and yellow packaging with 'korbond' branding.
(I bought some a while ago so I think they still sell it)

hth :)

I will hung, drawn and quartered if I don't take some to school tomorrow - I tried telling them it had been a manic glitchy weekend but they were still very cross :o
