My raspberries are just leafing. No sign of flowers or fruits at all. Ne of them is nothing but a stick and a price tag stuck in a pot :( I've been hanging mint and plaiting garlic to hang up in the greenhouse today. Ain't gonna be no vampires in there for a while :rotfl:

It closed down a few years ago as a cinema. They've tried all sorts with it but failed every time :(

I bought 4 raspberry canes last year from the factory shop I go to. They were 25p each and just looked like sticks. By the autumn though they were as high as the garage roof (though they are in a big planter DH made) and probably produced 100 berries. This year they have gone crazy! Raspberries are so expensive and our Ts rarely has decent fruit whoopsies so we will savour them :D

Such a shame about the cinema :( I remember it being under threat of closure but a campaign then to keep it open worked for a while. Guess being so small and reasonably priced it couldn't survive.

So great that you are enjoying your garden so much Logie :) I can really relate to it. My garden has been a bit of a sanctuary and an escape for me as well during some tough times. And the rewards are great!
    Garden therapy :D

    Exactly :D

Just spotted the first raspberries in our garden earlier. ;)

Strawberries are doing spectacularly well this year. :j

Fantastic BBQ yesterday for DD1, gave her chance to tell all the family the good news. ;)

Had a little bit too much Pimms yesterday to pop in, being down to £12 for a litre was too big a temptation. Still I sort of didn't pay for it as got a £56 shop down to £33 and a petrol voucher back. :D

I used to go to the ABC minors club in the late 70's. Brilliant times they were. watch a few black and white zorro and lone ranger films and some cartoons and generally cause havoc. :D

Can you remember studio 567 in Henleaze? It's still going. Prices are very good and the 2 people on front of desk have been there since the 70's. My son and I go there at least once a week. 3 screens , but would rather go there to keep small cinemas open.

Glad I read this! Was going to start growing raspberries but I don't want another plant taking over my garden. I tried growing pumpkins a couple of years back and they completely took over the patio. I do have plenty of cherry tomatoes and strawberries on the go at the moment, just waiting for the peppers to grow now :j
