Sometimes it's better to take a step back, lose the stress, the extra pressure, a little money, but be happier for it :)

With all the instore cameras not only watching customers, but probably watching the staff even more closely I'd be amazed that anyone would be stupid enough to risk a job over a few pennies.

Yes it was the right thing for him to do but such a shame. He d been with the girl since they were 16 thereabouts. She trained to be a teacher and he was doing well in Tesco. Then within a year of marrying with all the expense she decided to cheat on him twice with 2 different lads .

He probably would have forgiven her if it was just the once but when it happened again that was it. She s now with this other guy and has a little girl of about 3 now while Darren has to start again . Se could have easily been my grand daughter :(

Oh the staff are watched too. They even have random searches when finishing their shifts. It certainly would be foolish yes .

Where I work, a couple of years ago I found a £20 note on the floor in the staff area changing rooms.
I handed it in to security (you never know if it's been planted by the management or someone to check the honesty of staff) as it obviously belonged to a work colleague.
Security looked at me like I was bonkers and one of them probably pocketed it, but I had a clear conscious :)
It's just not worth losing your job over.

I've never posted in here before, but I am a bit of a lurker :o

Anyway, just wanted to thank you all for posting 1p items. I am officially no longer a 1p virgin :rotfl: I managed to find some of the wine gums earlier today. My OH was laughing at me as I excitedly (and quickly!) scanned them through the SS checkout :D

    Hello smooch, welcome aboard.
Congratulations on losing your 1p cherry :D
