Snap, what do you do with the aloe vera leaf? Just put it in the pot and the slugs prefer it? I've an aloe vera on my kitchen windowsill that's been getting on my nerves and I was considering throwing away, but if it could be useful..... :) TIA

Logie Bear - Your Aloe Vera is sacred - the gel inside heals all skin burns.
My plant was outside & got sunburnt so I chopped off the manky leaves & spread them around the plants as I hate waste :o. Certainly helps keep the snails & slugs off.
My plant is now sheltered & thriving

I know :o Originally had it in the kitchen for that reason but ironically when I burnt my arm the other week I completely forgot.
Just getting fed up with so many plants and herbs on the windowsill. Maybe I'll pop in into the plastic mini greenhouse instead if they can survive outside :)

Lovely pics of Nannylala's garden :) Looks very well cared for.
Mine could look lovely but desperately needs the fences replacing. Don't want all my plants damaging at the moment so will have to wait until later in the year
