Hi
I am in the market for a new TV. I know I want a 42" but then few other questions:
Any ideas or suggestions?

LED TVs are more economical to run than LCD TVs but any difference in picture quality is more down to the processing electronics in the TV than the screen type. IMO the best way to choose a TV is to make yourself a shortlist and then go to a shop and look at the picture quality for yourself. Take along a DVD that you know well and ask them to play that on it for you. See which one looks best to you.
I'd be wary of using Wi-Fi to stream movies, you may find that you run into problems with bandwidth and find that the movie keeps stopping and starting, especially if you're streaming HD movies. Better, if you can, to plug the TV into your router using an ethernet cable.0 -
Apart from Plasma all TV's are LCD. LED refers to the way it backlit (it's either LED or Cold Cathode (which get bloody hot).
LED's don't heat up, use less energy & are smaller.0 -
