Barclays PPI - refund received but no settlement offer

Hi all,

I received a letter from Barclays re ppi I had on a loan dating back to 2007. I completed the questionnaire and returned, last week I had a phone call reconfirming some details. I have since checked my balance and I have had 2 payments entitled ppi refund into my bank account, one for approx £2000 and the other is £500.

I am really pleased as I had no idea it would be this much (I think my loan was about £8k over 3 years). I actually cancelled the ppi before the end of the loan as I realised it was a waste of money anyway. Now I'm worried perhaps they made 2 payments in error as I'm unsure why they would refund in two transactions. Has anyone else had a refund processed in this way? I also assume I should have had something in the post confirming the refund? Any thoughts appreciated!

Thanks

Jas
