A few weeks ago I was contacted by legal and recoveries relating to non payment of some amount for a subscription I set up with a company called webbilling. Now I paid them over the phone. Can this affect my credit rating if legal and recoveries have contacted you to chase a payment? I am applying for a job in financial services where they do credit checks and if I fail that then I can't get an interview.
