Have chipped new shower tray!

Help! We've chipped a new shower tray after everything else has been done, so don't want to replace it. We have the chip. Any advice on the best way to stick it back on for cosmetic reasons? (It won't affect the use of the tray.)

How about glue? I know that's a wild suggestion, but you know sometimes you have to think out of the box for these things.

Now why didn't I think of that?

Maybe my question should have asked for the most appropriate glue. I've also considered silicone sealant, as I'm making a right mess with that already.

Silicone sealant won't hold it. Have you a picture of the chip?

I'd probably go for something like this:

It is designed for gluing waste pipes (the solvent weld kind) but should work a treat on your shower tray - assuming it is plastic?

Super glue got to be worth a try.
The stuff from the Pound Shop is not that bad - if you buy from there avoid the metal tubes and get the plastic bottles ( I find that the tubes always leak onto and stick fingers )

I can honestly say all of the above will look like a dogs dinner.

Google 'magic man'. They come and repair chips etc in baths, sinks, worktops, Upvc etc.

There is only one way to do a job and that is doing it properly. The MSE isn't always best.

Thanks for the replies everyone. It's the dog's dinner effect I'm trying to avoid.

I see what you mean about magic man, phill99, but wondered about some suitable glue as we have the chip and it wouldn't be noticeable if it was properly stuck down. If need be we'll go with magic man.

I'd guess it's ceramic though.

I've used superglue successfully on a basin pedestal. It's thin enough to allow the chip to lie flush.
