Out of interest this really is only for people who own the 360 as I am interested to see what the % conversion rate is to the new ONE as your first console purchase of the new generation.

I won't be buying it straight away but assuming I do get a console I'll still get an Xbox One.

It might not be as powerful as the PS4, but then no console is as powerful as my PC so I don't mind that too much.

I think a lot of the issues people have with the Xbox One are either overblown or just don't affect me. I don't buy used games or trade in games, for example, so I don't care that Microsoft are permitting publishers to place restrictions on the games.

I'm swapping to the PS4, xbox rightly or wrongly are trying to control the market too much with this, they are going to put a lot of game shops out of businss too, as a lot sell used games.

I want a games console, not a command centre that is always on, listening and watching.

I can't believe IM saying this, but IM going to but a PS4. If I had the money I'd but one of each. However I have got both proffered, just invade Microsoft decide to change the used game and online log in things.

Haven't voted as there was no choice for both.

Neither for me at least for the first year or so. Loads of good games and features on the 360 that will keep me happy for quite a while.

If i do go for one i will look at it then, but at the moment i am thinking the PS4.

Why Console games should be different from books, DVD's, Blu Rays or most other things in life is a step to far for me. I want the choice of buying a used game and selling/ trading in a old one if i choose. Plus £80 cheaper for the PS4 and i would assume no yearly Xbox Gold type fee puts the PS4 in poll position when i do buy a new one.

Of course a lot could change between now and then.

We have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360 in our house. Both are OH's, whilst I have a few games and play occasionally.

OH wants both again, but admits that he wants the PS4 because it looks good and the Xbox only out of 'loyalty'. He got the Xbox 360, however, because it was the console all of his friends were using. The PS3 is rarely played.

I have said that I'm not happy having the Xbox One in the house. Fortunately, I know that he won't be getting either console for quite a while. Ideally his friends will all be amongst the masses moving over to the PS4 and he'll not bother with the Xbox at all.

I've got the PS3 and 360 just now and i prefer the 360.

When the new consoles get released i won't be getting either for at least a year to give prices a chance to drop and any bugs to be worked out. It should give some time for a more accurate analysis of which is best as well.

At the moment i fancy the PS4 soley for the don't need to log in daily part. That way if i lose my job and can't afford internet it's still useful.

The thing's i'd miss from the Xbox would be.
    The control pad
    Forza

Until then though, PC gaming all the way.

The OH is a long time Xbox fan, much prefers it to the PS3, infact we had one of those and it got sold as it was hardly ever used. He just prefers everything about the Xbox, all his friends have one rather the PS, and he really doesn't like the PS controllers, but even after saying all of that, he is now swaying towards buying a PS4.

He's been put off by Xbox's new rules etc, having to have your console connected to the Internet all the time, and the new thing about resale of old games etc.

It's probably part stubbornness on his part, "it's the principal of the thing", and he'll probably end up going for the Xbox after all....I don't know?! But it seems like Xbox have put off a lot of loyal customers and pointed them firmly in the direction of the new PS4!

I'll be buying the PS4. Tbh I'm not brand loyal between the two (I own many consoles including Xbox 360 and PS3) but I own the majority of my games on the Xbox 360, I just prefer it. But the Xbox one has far to many restrictions or my liking so I don't think I'll be getting one.

If the new features for sharing games with 10 friends on the xbox work as they have described then it will blow the PS4 out the water.

The online checks don't bother me in the slightest as my internet connection is very stable. You can turn off the Kinect if you wish too.

I think there is a lot of hysteria about it spying on you and checking up, however I'd imagine most people are currently "always on" with either xbox 360 or PS3 so it's not really an issue.

The PS4 is just like an upgraded PS3 - the xbox one is much more of a shift. If the features all work as reported on the xbox, then it will be a huge step closer to Steam on the console.
