Bus lane Fine

Hi all,
was driving along Maryhill Road Glasgow at 4.23 pm at Dawsholm, Maryhill park approaching lights, a car was trying to turn right down to Dawsholm Park but couldn't because of traffic coming from opposite direction.
I moved into a bus lane to pass the car that wasstopped and turning right, I cant exactly remember and cant be certain, but looking at pictures they sent I may have been stopped in the bus lane by the traffic lights, in one of the pictures they can see that I have moved from outer lane to bus lane, there was no buses, taxis, bicycles or anything else in the lane, in fact there was only 1 car a good bit back on the outside lane. unfortunately the pictures don't show the vehicle turning
There's no argument from me, I went into the bus lane, but it was to pass a stopped vehicle waiting to turn, are you not allowed to do this, must you stop behind any stopped vehicle, is it worth appealing?
The bus lane operates between the hours of 4pm to 7.30pm I think it is,
I drive this road every day and know about the bus lane and it's a thing I don't do is drive in bus lanes, but I have moved into them to pass stopped vehicles turning, this is the first time I have ever been fined for it,
thanks for any advice

Just checked street view. Bus lane is non-compliant if street view is up to date although I can't tell exactly where you are talking abut.
Markings are faded to almost non-existent and signage is inadequate.
