Renting in Cardiff

Hello there.
Is there anyone who can give me some advice on renting a place in Cardiff? I've children, have recently lost a job in another area when a relationship broke down, and have had no option but to move back to my parents - so I've no money and am also out of work.
I'm trying to get my life back to some normality, and am starting a course soon that will help financially, so I'm hoping to find a 1 bedroom flat/apartment somewhere in Cardiff that will accept a Homeowner Guarantor/DSS.
I've excellent character references, and I'd be appreciative of any advice/help that anyone might be able to offer. Or a job - that would be even better :-)
