I currently live in a Housing Association flat with my partner and we have a tenancy for life. We have been considering asking for a housing transfer to a different property as we have the neighbours from hell, but I was wondering if we were successful and got moved would we lose our tenancy for life? I'm sure I read somewhere that the law has changed now for social housing and if you move in you get reassessed every 3 years, would that apply to transfers or is it new tenants only?
