Best pre paid card for USA?

Be careful bringing money back my mil brought back £1k on her ore loade card and has never been back to spend the test, she went to the travel agents she got it from and it was costing her and arm an a leg to change it back so she left it, she intends on going back to the USA next year but if she doesn't she will loose the money

I personally use the clarity credit card and pay it off online as I go so that I don't come back to a huge bill

I use the Fairfx card when in the States and I have never once had it refused either by a retailer or an ATM. I swear by it. It's a Mastercard so anywhere that takes Mastercard will take the Fairfx card.

That's because she fell for the "you need a US$ card" nonsense. Unless currencies are fluctuating wildly, don't bother.
If you must get a Prepaid card, always go for a Global usage card and better still, one that you can use at a mimimal or no cost when you get home.

I have recently used a $ card in Florida for 3 weeks and had no problems at all anywhere ..... all restaurants, supermarkets, shops and theme parks. In fact if you go through topcashback there is a promo code there (foq1z) that waives the £9.95 fee on new FairFX cards. I have also used the euro card for a few years in Spain and France without problem. Hope that's helpful.

oh i totally agree, and i warned her and told her not to do it, and i explained that she is best using a clarity card etc ... but she chose to ignore me and take the advice of someone that isnt even interested in finances... it came back to bite her in the !!!!
