Van Insurance and points

Hi I wonder if anyone can advise me.

My boyfriend has just purchased a van for his self employed business and is struggling to get reasonable insurance as he has 10 points on his licence. A few of these are due to come off this year. Not that it makes a difference to the insurers but he has learned his lesson and drives super responsibly now.
The van is used for transporting his own work equipment not couriering or anything.
He is 31 and the Van is a Renault trafic.
Can anyone advise on insurance companies that may be good in this case?

Many Thanks

Try visiting a local broker ( not Swinton) for help.

10 points and a van for business use i doubt he will get many sensible quotes.

If he has bought the van and its not yet insured he needs to park it off the road and SORN it. Otherwise more bills will be on their way.

    Thanks

He has temp insurance to cover the next few days while he sorts a proper policy out. Are there any particular companies that are better for insuring vans?

Adrian Flux. My brother went with them on his truck after he came off a ban and still had loads of points. No other insurers would touch him, but Flux were cheaper than his renewal before the ban ;)

I'm the same age as your fella and have/have had a fair few points, and mines under £400, again with Flux for a Skoda pickup, kept on the road, in a medium-chavvy area.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
