Thank you.You are reliant on the Bank finding other irregularities with the PPI sale as
part of their investigation, otherwise your chances of success are slim
this being the case, would she be better advised to use a professional claim company who may be more aware of the claim system??0 -
Thank you.

The vast majority of claims companies ask you to fill out the same or similar form to what you have and all they do is put a stamp on the envelope and sit back and wait.
The stats show no improved success rate with claims companies and indeed, it is more likely you will fail with a claims company as a number are blacklisted by firms and more likely to be viewed less sympathetically than a personalised complaint. Even the FOS says it prefers personalised complaints compared to a one-size-fits all template letter.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Some really good advice here. . .and much appreciated!
As the 'complaint' is that my partner was unaware of the inclusion of ppi. . .but she may have signed an agreement form, . . . . would it be better if the 'complaint' is that, given her circumstances at the time, she was 'ill advised' to include ppi with her loan knowing that the additional financial burden was also unwelcome?
thanks again. .0 -
The ppi policy has been imposed upon me and applied without my consent.
I would remove this sentence and maybe explain that you were not made aware that the PPI could have been purchased from other providers, if this was the case.
Good luck.0 -

Good luck.
Don't say that either because they are not obliged to make you aware of this.
As has been said before, that's like buying something in Tescos and they didn't tell you it was cheaper in Asda.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
They are not required to tell you that you can buy it elsewhere. I would focus on employer benefits overlapping the PPI. Not a good reason for MPPI but a good one for credit card and loan. Especially where the PPI would not pay out in addition to employer benefits.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Hi,
I sent my form back, as detailed above and on Friday 1st Nov (4 days before my birthday!) I got an offer letter from Natwest to settle the PPI claim. Just over £1500 so more than happy with that as I didn't expect to get anything near that. My answers weren't hugely detailed, I just stated the truth, that I did not recall any converstation about PPI but that we did talk about my employment and the benefits associated with that.
Very easy once they had sent me the form really.
Now waiting for the money to appear in my account :j
Thanks for the advice on how to complete the form.

Hi can anyone help me with my natwest ppi complaint. All i remeber is feeling pressured into getting ppi and it not being very well explained to me.
I still do not know what answers to give to these questions.
Q1 If you think you were not eligible for the ppi policy or the significant exclusions were not explained to you at the point of sale, please give full details below including why you believe you were not eligible for the ppi policy
Q2 If you did not understant that the ppi policy was optional, if you did not choose to take out a ppi policy with your loan or if you feel that we pressured you to take the ppi policy. In addition your policy should have been sold on a non advised basis. If you feel you recieved a personel recomendation to take out the policy, please give full details.
Q3 If you feel that we did not explain how your ppi policy was paid for, or if the cost of the policy was not explained to you, please give full details.
Q4 if you believe that we did not clearly explain to you at the point of sale that only a partial rebate was payable if you cancelled early but after 30 days please give details
Q5 If you feel you have other grounds for complaint against the sale of your ppi policy or wish to give further details please provide any additional information in support of your complaint.
Help answering these would be great, thank you.0 -
Not to others that this is a 2013 thread revival. Only post #20 is new.All i remeber is feeling pressured into getting ppi and it not being very well explained to me.
How long ago are we talking about? Pressure sale complaints are credible in the months that follow the sale but lose credibility as time goes on. If we are talking years or decades then a pressure sale complaint is very weak. Equally, allegations of what was or was not said are weak as they are unprovable allegations and the longer time goes on, the less likely you are to remember correctly.
They can be complaint reasons but they are very weak complaint reasons and typically rely on another failure being identified or getting an auto-payout.I still do not know what answers to give to these questions.
The truth is a the best place to start. We dont know enough about you to answer them for you. You should answer them truthfully and if you cannot remember or dont know then say you cant remember or dont know. Perfect memories tend to raise suspicions and its expected you cant remember everything.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
